H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with $75 billion of capital under management, has bolstered its Capital Formation Group with the appointment of Younghee Choi as Head of Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Choi will spearhead capital formation efforts across Asia, contributing to the firm's global private equity, credit, and real assets platforms.

Choi brings to H.I.G. more than 15 years of experience in capital formation and private markets. She previously held senior roles at Blackstone, most recently serving as Senior Managing Director and Head of Korea Institutional Client Solutions. At Blackstone, Choi cultivated and expanded relationships with leading institutional investors and played a pivotal role in growing the firm's private wealth fundraising business in Korea.

Jordan Peer Griffin, Executive Managing Director and Global Head of the Capital Formation Group, expressed enthusiasm over Choi's addition: "Younghee's extensive background and strong network across Asia will significantly enhance our presence in the region. Her leadership will be crucial as we expand our investor base and continue to support the growth of H.I.G.'s global investment platforms."

In her new role, Choi is optimistic about the opportunity to deepen relationships with investors in Asia and connect them with the full spectrum of H.I.G.'s global capabilities. "I am thrilled to join H.I.G. at this pivotal moment in the firm's growth," she stated. "I look forward to collaborating with the team to broaden H.I.G.'s footprint in Asia and leverage the firm's global expertise to benefit investors."

H.I.G. Capital specializes in providing both debt and equity capital to middle market companies. The firm’s portfolio includes over 100 companies with combined sales exceeding $53 billion. With offices in major global hubs, including Miami, Hong Kong, and London, H.I.G. offers a comprehensive range of investment strategies, from corporate buyouts to real estate and infrastructure investments.

The appointment of Younghee Choi underscores H.I.G.'s commitment to expanding its presence in Asia, where the firm aims to strengthen relationships with institutional and private wealth investors. As the firm continues to grow, Choi’s expertise and network are expected to play a vital role in achieving these goals.
